An archipelago of four islands between Madagascar and Mozambique, like four drops fallen from the brush of an eccentric painter who, after painting the great African continent, added the elongated shape of Madagascar. Called the “Islands of the Moon” by the locals\u2014with the island of Mayotte remaining a French territory\u2014they represent an unparalleled cultural crossroads: they are sultanates, so the religion is Islam; they are a former French colony, so the official language is French; culturally, they are heavily influenced by Madagascar as well as Swahili culture, and like other islands in the Indian Ocean, there is a strong Indo-Oriental atmosphere. An almost unknown tropical destination, primarily maritime, where on the island of Grande Comore we will live the dream of walking through the most authentic Muslim soul of the capital Moroni, reaching the summit of the Karthala volcano. An internal flight will take us to Moh\u00e9li, where we will be immersed in a marine natural park for six dreamlike days. A small earthly paradise, populated by lemurs and turtles, coconut palms and Ylang-Ylang\u2014the base flower of Chanel No. 5 perfume\u2014coffee and vanilla, turquoise sea, and extinct volcanoes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
