The journey also reveals extraordinary landscapes and fascinating archaeological heritage: the stunning and little-known Yangykala Canyon, the UNESCO-listed ruins of Nisa, once the capital of the Parthian Empire, and Merv, one of the most important oasis cities in Central Asian history.<\/p>\n<p>The climax of the journey will be an unforgettable night at the legendary \u201cGate of Hell.\u201d We will camp beside the surreal Darvaza gas crater, formed by the collapse of a natural gas cavern and still burning intensely today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #d82679;\">The BHS touch<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will explore one of the least visited countries on Earth using a variety of means of transport, allowing for a deeper understanding of everyday life in Turkmenistan. Transfer to the city and hotel check-in.<\/p>\n<p>Our exploration of the Turkmen capital begins along Archabil Avenue, a monumental boulevard that immediately reveals the city\u2019s striking architectural identity, defined by gleaming white marble buildings and vast open spaces. We then continue to the archaeological site of Nisa, the ancient capital of the Parthian Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, considered one of the most historically significant places in Central Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The itinerary also includes a visit to the Ruhy Mosque in Gypjak, one of the largest mosques in the region, as well as the mausoleum of Turkmenistan\u2019s first president.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Evening:<\/strong> Visit to the Memorial Complex and a short evening city tour, when Ashgabat lights up, revealing its most scenic and surreal side. Departure towards Darvaza across the vast Karakum Desert, with a stop in the village of Yerbent to observe everyday life in the desert. The route continues towards the gas and water craters, extraordinary natural phenomena linked to underground gas reserves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Evening:<\/strong> Arrival at the famous Darvaza crater, widely known as the \u201cDoor to Hell.\u201d We will admire the crater at sunset and again after dark, when the flames create a truly surreal atmosphere.
