LADAKH e KASHMIR<\/span><\/h1>\n

From the tranquil lakes of Kashmir to the high-altitude deserts of Ladakh, this journey takes us through some of the most spectacular, remote and culturally fascinating regions of the Indian Himalayas.<\/p>\n

We begin in Kashmir, a land shaped by a complex recent history, where wooden mosques, bustling bazaars, traditional houseboats and Mughal gardens reflect the meeting point of Central Asian, Persian and Indian cultures.<\/p>\n

Crossing the legendary Zoji La Pass, we gradually enter Ladakh, a Buddhist Himalayan region defined by cliffside monasteries, mountain passes rising above 5,000 metres, isolated villages and roads considered among the most spectacular in the world.<\/p>\n

From Leh we continue towards the breathtaking Nubra Valley, reaching Balti villages near the Pakistani border, crossing the famous Khardung La Pass, and spending nights among high-altitude sand dunes and the surreal waters of Pangong Lake.<\/p>\n

Punjab Extension<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before venturing into the mountains of Kashmir and Ladakh, this extension offers the chance to discover one of northern India\u2019s most culturally rich and historically significant regions: Punjab.<\/p>\n

The homeland of Sikhism, vast fertile plains and the legacy of the Partition between India and Pakistan, Punjab preserves some of the most defining and emotional chapters of the Indian subcontinent\u2019s modern history.<\/p>\n

The heart of the extension is Amritsar, the spiritual centre of Sikhism and home to the magnificent Golden Temple, one of Asia\u2019s most awe-inspiring sacred sites.<\/p>\n

The journey also explores the history of the Indo-Pakistani border, the events of the 1947 Partition, and the tensions that continue to shape the region today. From bustling bazaars and colourful tuk-tuks to Sikh spirituality and the spectacular Wagah Border ceremony, this extension is the perfect introduction to northern India before reaching the Himalayan landscapes of Kashmir.<\/p>\n

HIMACHAL PRADESH EXTENSION<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

After crossing Kashmir and Ladakh, this extension ventures even deeper into the Indian Himalayas, following some of the country\u2019s most spectacular and remote mountain roads to the lush landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n

From the barren valleys of Zanskar to mountain passes rising above 5,000 metres, the scenery gradually transforms. The dramatic high-altitude deserts of Ladakh give way to dense Himalayan forests, remote villages and charming mountain towns shaped by Tibetan spirituality, Hindu traditions and a vibrant backpacker culture.<\/p>\n

The route passes through little-visited regions such as the Zanskar Valley and Shinkula Pass, before reaching iconic Himalayan destinations including Manali, Malana and Dharamsala, home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.<\/p>\n

A spectacular extension designed for travellers who wish to continue their Himalayan adventure beyond Ladakh, exploring the great mountain roads of northern India.<\/span>

The highlight comes with the ascent of the legendary Khardung La Pass, rising above 5,000 metres, one of the Himalaya\u2019s most famous high-altitude roads. As you wind through dramatic hairpin bends, vast alpine landscapes and colourful Tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the wind, the journey itself becomes just as memorable as the destinations.<\/p>\n

We travel in a private van or car with a local driver, allowing us to comfortably explore some of the most remote regions of the Indian Himalayas.<\/p>\n
