A journey that crosses the Pacific Ocean diagonally, from Taiwan to the 11 most isolated countries on the planet: Palau, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Nauru, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands!

A tour divided into two groups, which can be purchased individually or as a complete package. One single departure with 10 available spots for every traveller’s dream! A complex itinerary, difficult to organize and sustain. An adventurous and particularly intense journey in terms of flights, suitable only for great travellers eager to explore every single corner of our planet!

TYPE OF TRIP

A journey with an intense but manageable pace, featuring multiple air transfers (the main challenge of the trip) and sea transfers between islands, with some days including light physical activities, some self-guided driving, and others requiring logistical adaptability and flexibility.

Accommodation in local hotels, paradise islands and simple structures, medium-high level of adaptability!

Travel itinerary

Day 1-2: Italy – Taiwan

DAY 1: international flight to Taipei with arrival the following day.

DAY 2: Transfer to hotel and a day dedicated to exploring Taiwan’s capital, from Longshan Temple to Ximending, ending with a local dinner at the night market! Dinner and overnight stay in Taipei.

Day 3: Taipei – Palau (Koror)

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and transfer to the airport for the flight to Palau, arrival in Koror, check-in and first visit of the city.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Koror.

Day 4: Palau — Babeldaob Island and scenic flight over the Rock Islands

Morning and afternoon: free day dedicated to exploring Babeldaob, the main island, its capital Ngerulmud, and the Ngardmau Waterfalls, or optional activities such as a scenic flight over the Rock Islands or snorkeling at Jellyfish Lake (to be confirmed depending on permit availability).

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Koror.

Day 5: Palau — Milky Way Lake

Morning and afternoon: breakfast, boat departure and navigation through the crystal-clear waters of the Rock Islands and Milky Way Lake. Stop in Peleliu, the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Pacific theater during World War II. Guided tour of the “National Historic Landmark” through various battle sites, tanks and aircraft wrecks, shrines and monuments. Beach lunch and return to Koror.

Evening: dinner and transfer to the airport for a night flight to Chuuk, Micronesia (with a short layover in Guam – US visa required).

Day 6: Palau – Chuuk (Micronesia)

Morning/afternoon: transfer to hotel, rest to recover from the overnight flight, and land tour of Weno Island, the capital island of Chuuk State. Visit to Nefo Cave, which features a series of tunnels used by the Japanese during World War II, followed by a visit to the easternmost point of the island, Xavier High School. The building was constructed in 1938 as a bomb-proof radio and communications station for the Japanese naval forces.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Weno.

Day 7: Chuuk — snorkeling among shipwrecks

Morning: breakfast and boat excursion for snorkeling among the historic shipwrecks of Chuuk Lagoon, visiting various Japanese ruins, including a World War II hospital that once treated up to 800 patients, the largest in Micronesia. Visit to the local municipal building, constructed by the Japanese in the 1920s during the golden age.

Afternoon: continued boat trip with a stop offshore before returning to Chuuk, with the option of technical diving for certified divers or snorkeling and visiting coastal villages.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Weno.

Day 8: Chuuk – Pohnpei

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Pohnpei, first orientation visit of the island known as “The Venice of the Pacific”.


Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Pohnpei.

Day 9: Pohnpei — island tour and local culture

Morning: breakfast and self-drive tour of the island, from Kepirohi Waterfalls, the most scenic on the island and immersed in the tropical forest, to Nan Madol, the ancient megalithic city built on basalt islets.

Afternoon: light lunch along the coast and continuation of the tour towards the eastern side of the island, passing through rural villages and sakau plantations. Panoramic stop at Sokehs Ridge, a viewpoint over Kolonia Bay with remains of Japanese cannons from World War II. Free time for those who wish to snorkel along the Pohnpei reef.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Pohnpei.

Day 10: Pohnpei – Majuro (Marshall Islands)

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and transfer to the airport for a flight to the Marshall Islands, arrival in Majuro in the afternoon, check-in and first orientation on the atoll.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Majuro.

Day 11: Majuro — Eneko Island and atoll culture

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and boat transfer to Eneko Island, a true island paradise where you will spend a day of relaxation and snorkeling. During snorkeling there will be the opportunity to pass by a World War II aircraft wreck. Beach lunch and continuation of activities on Eneko Island, known for its untouched beaches.

Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Majuro.

Day 12: Majuro — Majuro Atoll

Morning: breakfast and guided bus tour of Majuro. Stop for shopping in local shops, visit to the Alele Museum and the Tobolar Coconut Processing Factory—the only facility of its kind in the Northern Pacific, where various coconut-based products are made. Lunch at a local restaurant

Afternoon: continuation of the tour. Stop at the Majuro Peace Park, built to honor the soldiers of World War II, and conclusion of the tour at Laura Beach, a famous local beach east of Rongrong Island. Relax on the beach before returning to the hotel

Evening: dinner and night in Majuro

Day 13: Majuro → Nauru

Morning: breakfast and free time to explore the last glimpses of the atoll

Afternoon: transfer to the airport for the direct flight to Nauru. Check-in and first orientation tour of the island

Day 14: Nauru — Ring Road Tour

Morning: the Ring Road Tour is an excellent introduction to Nauru. Not only is it the least visited country in the world, with around 200 tourists per year, but it is also the third smallest country in the world after the Vatican and Monaco, with an area of only 21 km2 (8 square miles). Guided tour of the main attractions including: Anibare Bay, Pinnacle Rocks, Ewa Beach, Orro Congregational Church, the National Museum, the Christian Missionary Monument, and Buada Lagoon

Afternoon: continuation of the tour, with a stop at the World War II memorial and Western Bay to admire the sunset

Evening: dinner and night in Nauru

Day 15: Nauru → Kiribati (Betio)

Morning: breakfast and morning flight to the islands of Kiribati, arrival in Tarawa and maritime transfer to Betio, stop at the War Memorial, a symbolic site commemorating one of the hardest battles of the Pacific during World War II, when American forces captured Tarawa in 1943. Arrival and hotel check-in

Afternoon: continuation towards the interior of the atoll by local vehicle to discover traditional villages, palm groves, and toddy (fermented coconut palm sap) harvesting areas. Meeting with locals to learn about artisanal weaving techniques using pandanus leaves and the construction of traditional canoes. Photo stop along the South Tarawa Causeway, one of the most striking points to admire the contrast between the turquoise lagoon and the open Pacific Ocean

Evening: dinner and evening in Betio

Day 16: Kiribati — Fiji (Nadi)

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and airport transfer for the flight to Fiji, arrival in Nadi and rental car pickup to prepare for the island exploration. Check-in in Denarau and first city tour or relaxation

Day 17: Fiji — Mamanuca archipelago day trip | Last day of the “Central Islands” itinerary

Morning: breakfast and departure by boat for the Mamanuca Archipelago, a constellation of small coral islands off the coast of Nadi. Sailing among sandy islets, turquoise lagoons, and coral reefs. Stops for snorkeling over coral gardens populated by tropical fish and free time to relax on deserted beaches

Afternoon: light lunch during the excursion and subsequent return to the main island. Possibility to stop at a local beach bar or continue with optional activities in Denarau, such as a Fijian massage or a tour of the souvenir shops

Evening: dinner and night in the Nadi area

*For those who have chosen only the “Central Islands” itinerary – an airport transfer and international return flight with layovers to Italy will be scheduled for today (night on board and arrival the following day)

Day 18: Fiji — Coral Coast road trip

Morning and afternoon: breakfast and departure for a road trip along the Coral Coast, the most scenic stretch of Viti Levu. A coastal road through traditional villages, sugarcane plantations, and palm-fringed beaches. Visit to a Fijian village to attend a kava ceremony and meet the local community. Arrival in the late afternoon on the Coral Coast or in Suva, depending on the group’s pace

Evening: dinner and night on the Coral Coast or in Suva

Day 19: Viti Levu Hinterland | First day of the “southern islands” itinerary

Morning and afternoon: continuation towards the island’s tropical hinterland to the Navua River, with the possibility of rafting or a mini-expedition by longboat into the inland tropical forest. Stop at Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park for a walk among the dunes and ancient archaeological remains. Arrival in Suva in the late afternoon

Evening: dinner and night in Suva

*For those who have chosen only the “Southern Islands” itinerary – arrival in Fiji and reunion with the group in Suva is scheduled for today, to prepare for tomorrow’s departure to Tuvalu (departure from Italy scheduled at least 2 days prior)

Day 20: Fiji — Funafuti (Tuvalu)

Morning and afternoon: breakfast, car return, and boarding for the flight to Tuvalu. Hotel check-in and initial exploration around Funafuti, where plane landings become a highlight, transforming the runway into a playground between the few international flights that come and go each week, and where people gather in the evening to play Kilikiti (a regional variant of cricket) and Te Ano (a distinctive form of volleyball)

Evening: dinner and night in Funafuti

Day 21: Tuvalu — atolli e boat tour

Morning: early wake-up and boat tour of the Funafuti Lagoon to explore some of the sparsely inhabited surrounding islets, with the chance to snorkel and see the coral reefs. Fresh fish barbecue lunch right on the lagoon!

Afternoon: relax on the beach and return to Funafuti to freshen up at the hotel

Evening: dinner and night in Funafuti

Day 22: Tuvalu → Fiji → Samoa (Apia)

Morning/afternoon/evening: breakfast and short transfer to the airport, flight via Nadi to Apia, Samoa, late-night arrival, car rental, check-in, and night in Apia

    Day 23: Samoa — Upolu island road trip

    Morning: breakfast and departure for a road trip along Upolu island. A scenic route through coconut plantations, rugged coastlines, and small villages where life still follows the traditional Samoan rhythm. Stop at the Togitogiga or Fuipisia waterfalls for a swim in natural pools, then continue towards the south of the island, crossing tropical forests and rural areas

    Afternoon: visit to a local village to learn about the Fa’a Samoa culture, the communal system that governs the social and spiritual life of the islands. Meeting with the community and explanation of traditions related to the extended family, ceremonies, and the roles of village chiefs. Time to relax on the southern coast, with the possibility of snorkeling or swimming in the turquoise lagoons of Lalomanu or Saleapaga

    Evening: dinner and night in Apia

    Day 24: Samoa → Fiji → Tonga (Nukuʻalofa)

    Morning/afternoon/evening: breakfast, final tour of the island, and flight to Tonga via Nadi; late-night arrival and check-in in Nukuʻalofa

    Day 25: Tonga — whale watching and island tour

    Morning: breakfast and first tour of the city. Visit to the Royal Palace, the city of Mu’a—the ancient capital of Tonga—and the National Cultural Centre. Lunch at a local restaurant. Upon request for summer departures, it will be possible to take part in an optional humpback whale snorkeling activity!

    Afternoon: continuation towards the island’s pristine beaches, the infamous three-headed coconut tree, Tsunami Rock, before a stop at Mapu’a Vaea, where the waves crash against ancient volcanic rocks, creating an impressive and unique phenomenon

    Evening: dinner and night in Nukuʻalofa

    Day 26: Tonga – Vanuatu

    Morning/afternoon/evening: breakfast and flight via Nadi to Vanuatu, sea transfer to Pele Island. Arrival at the deserted islet where the night will be spent, among palm trees, white sand, and crystal-clear water

    Day 27: Pele Island — exploration and return to Port Vila

    Morning: breakfast and transfer back to Port Vila and visit to the Blue Lagoon, a peaceful oasis full of shaded corners and breathtaking landscapes

    Afternoon: visit to the town of Port Vila: Parliament House, Council of Chiefs, Erakor Landing, Independence Park, and the Mahitahi Handicraft Market, followed by an authentic Vanuatu Kava Bar, where they will give us a practical demonstration on how to drink Kava—known for its sedative qualities—accompanied by cleansing snacks called “washemout”

    Evening: dinner and night in Port Vila

    Day 28: Vanuatu → Solomon Islands (Honiara)

    Morning: breakfast and flight to the Solomon Islands, arrival in Honiara, hotel transfer and visit to Honiara Central Market with the possibility to purchase local souvenirs, followed by a full city tour including World War II monuments, the Parliament, and the National Museum.

    Afternoon: transfer to a beach hosting an important Japanese World War II shipwreck for snorkeling and underwater photography, as well as panoramic views over Honiara.

    Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Honiara.

    Day 29: Solomon Islands — Tenaru Falls trekking

    Morning and afternoon: breakfast, transfer and immersion in the rainforest for a trek to the famous Tenaru Falls.

    Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Honiara.

    Day 30: Solomon Islands — free day and optional activities

    Morning: breakfast and free day for individual exploration or optional excursions such as snorkeling and visits to remote villages.

    Afternoon: relaxation before the international return journey.

    Evening: dinner and overnight stay in Honiara.

    Day 31: Honiara – Brisbane – intercontinental flight

    DAY 31: breakfast and transfer to Honiara airport for a flight to Brisbane, Australia.

    Day 32: Return to Italy
