EASTERN MAURITANIA

A journey that crosses the most remote heart of the Mauritanian Sahara, among black rock plateaus, salt caravans and ancient cities forgotten by time. From the shores of the Atlantic to the ancient caravan routes of the Tagant, endless tracks lead towards mud villages and isolated oases, all the way to Oualata, the “Mauritanian Timbuktu”. An expedition filled with silence, sand and authentic encounters, where the frontier between desert and legend fades more and more each day

From the Tagant massif to the Oualata desert, we travel by 4×4 among sandstone mountains, gueltas inhabited by crocodiles and tracks used only by camels.
