ALGERIA
Algeria is a vast country. To the north, its Mediterranean coastline faces Europe at latitudes even higher than Sicily’s; to the south, it stretches between Mali and Niger, reaching deep into sub-Saharan Africa. In between lies the immense Sahara Desert, dominating the landscape with its endless horizons. Starting from the capital, Algiers, and its white Casbah overlooking the Mediterranean, we will embark on a legendary road trip aboard 4×4 vehicles driven by local guides, following the iconic Trans-Saharan Highway from Ghardaïa to Tamanrasset. In the far south, we will discover Assekrem, known by the Tuareg as the “End of the World,” surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Hoggar Mountains. Here, at an altitude of 2,600 meters, we will spend a night in a mountain refuge and witness what is considered one of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises in the entire Sahara.
