TRANS-CARIBBEAN

Three countries, one uninterrupted journey along the Caribbean Sea. The Trans-Caribbean route links northern South America to Central America, crossing coastlines, deserts, remote archipelagos, and forgotten borderlands without ever turning back. From the urban intensity of Caracas to the vibrant atmosphere of Panama City, the expedition moves through territories shaped by contrasts: capitals marked by political and social transformations, Caribbean national parks, colonial towns, the desert landscapes of the Guajira Peninsula, and the crystal-clear waters of the San Blas Islands. A journey where bustling cities alternate with untamed nature and indigenous communities, offering a deeper understanding of one of the most diverse regions in the Americas. The Trans-Caribbean is not simply a vacation, but an expedition designed for travelers seeking movement, continuity, and authentic off-the-beaten-path experiences, approached with awareness, preparation, and respect for local realities.

The BHS touch

Three countries, one of the most challenging and symbolic land crossings in Latin America, and a maritime route known only to a few. We cross the Darién Gap in our distinctive style: two days of sailing through the Caribbean Sea with a stop in the extraordinary San Blas Islands, aboard a vessel traditionally used along migrant routes between Colombia and Panama. More than a crossing, this is an immersion into a hidden side of the continent, a journey through remote coastlines, indigenous territories, and regions rarely explored by conventional tourism. Following paths shaped by migration, resilience, and survival, the experience offers a raw yet fascinating perspective on the Caribbean world. An adventure that combines exploration, human stories, and extreme natural beauty into a truly unforgettable expedition.
